A new kind of art fair is coming to the sand. InScope, a cultural event built around emerging contemporary art, will make its debut Dec. 1–6, 2026, planting itself squarely in the middle of Miami Beach's most iconic corridor during one of the most attended weeks of the year.

Miami Art Week draws more than 100,000 attendees each December, according to organizers, and InScope is aiming to be a prominent fixture in that landscape.

The event is set for Ocean Drive at 8th Street, steps from the shore, with organizers projecting more than 45,000 participants for the inaugural edition.

InScope comes from the team behind SCOPE Art Show, which has staged its Miami Art Week fair on the sand near Ocean Drive for years with a focus on emerging artists and galleries.

It was created by Matt Middleton, InScope's co-founder and CEO; Alexis Hubshman, its co-founder and president and the founder of SCOPE; and Hayley River Smith, InScope's director.

"SCOPE has spent 25 years creating opportunities for emerging artists and galleries," said Hubshman in a press release. "With InScope, we're creating more opportunities for those encounters, with the space and time for them to become lasting relationships."

A Different Kind of Fair

Rather than a traditional art fair model, InScope is designed as a week-long hybrid experience.

With contemporary art at its center, InScope combines a unique beachfront setting with programming, hospitality, and experiences that bring together people across the creative and business worlds.

The physical footprint will be substantial. More than 220,000 square feet will encompass indoor and outdoor art installations, multiple gallery pavilions, and shared spaces for networking, programming, hospitality, and entertainment. Programming follows a daily rhythm: mornings bring wellness activities on the beach, while daytime hours feature artist-and-collector conversations, and evenings shift to curated dinners, private tours, and musical performances.

Feature Projects and Artists

The inaugural edition's Feature Projects program will bring large-scale installations, murals, and site-specific works throughout the event. Artists and collaborators in the first announced wave include Alake Shilling with Tlaloc Studios, Aurora Mititelu, Blue Floor Project with Fuze and Baha Mar, Ceren Arslan, Jason Hackenwerth with CAMP Gallery, Nurse with Walshy Fire, Rabi Towing with Mortal Machine Gallery, and Swoon — in collaboration with Mortal Machine Gallery, The San Francisco Mural Museum, and Superchief Gallery. Additional projects and commissions are expected to be announced in coming months.

"Discovery starts with the artists and galleries," said Smith in the release. "We want to give people reasons to spend time, ask questions, and find something that stays with them."

Events and Founding Partners

The inaugural programming slate spans a wide range of communities that converge during Art Week. Confirmed daytime events include The Art of Wealth hosted by Future Proof, The Wellness Oasis® for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, and The Creator Compound hosted by Create & Cultivate.

Evening events include Supper Club Miami hosted by Create & Cultivate, the Hypebeast HypeAwards, Art of the Party hosted by Modern Luxury Ocean Drive Magazine, and an Art Week Issue Celebration hosted by Modern Luxury Miami Magazine.

The Founding Partner roster stretches across finance, media, wellness, and hospitality sectors. Partners include Future Proof, Create & Cultivate, The Wellness Oasis®, Modern Luxury, Hypebeast (including Hypeart), Channel 5, Aloyd, Baha Mar, Fuze, GenTrust, KraneShares, F/M Investments, Pictet Asset Management, GTS, Bitmine, and VanEck.

What It Means for Miami Beach

For residents, the event represents another week of significant activity on Ocean Drive and Lummus Park — an opportunity to engage with emerging art from a local vantage point. InScope says it is designed to be welcoming to first-time art buyers and seasoned collectors alike, with the stated goal of making newcomers feel they belong and giving longtime collectors "the excitement of discovery again."

Early-bird registration is now open at inscopeart.com, with early-bird pricing ending Oct. 18. InScope lists a one-day Miami Beach resident ticket at $30 early-bird ($40 from Oct. 19), compared with $50 for general one-day admission and $100 for the full week. Gallery floor hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
