City Tightens Noise Rules for Vehicles, Boats on Waterways

The Miami Beach City Commission gave first reading approval March 18 to an ordinance reducing the distance threshold for establishing prima facie evidence of a noise violation from vehicles, vessels, and floating structures from 100 feet to 25 feet, bringing the city's standard in line with Florida state law under Section 316.3045.
